15th Amendment
The 15th Amendment passes. It gives former slaves the right to vote and it protects the voting rights of the adult male citizens of any race. -

This amenment allows voters from the District of Colombia to participate in presidential elections. -
24th Amendment
This Amendment bans the poll tax as a requirement for voting in federal elections. -
