In 2011, deciding he wanted to form a band, McVey later discovered Brad Simpson via YouTube. Together, the pair wrote songs for the later months of 2011, with Simpson, later becoming the vocalist. In 2012, Simpson and McVey met Tristan Evans via Facebook. In mid-2012, the band started uploading the songs to their YouTube channel. In October they were being described as a new boy band. -
The Vamps' early career.
They signed with Mercury Records in November 2012. And in September 2013 they released their first single, "Can We Dance", which reached # 2 on the British singles chart. In 2014 they released their second single, "Wild Heart", which reached # 3 on the UK charts and won several versions. Also in 2014, they released their third single, "Last Night", which reached # 2 on the British singles chart. -
The first album
In April 2014, the band's first album entitled "Meet The Vamps" was released and debuted at # 2 in the UK. To promote a new album "Meet The Vamps", The Vamps partnered with artist Demi Lovato releasing the single "Somebody to You" that reached # 4 on the British singles chart. -
Steady Records e Wake Up.
In February 2015, The Vamps announced that it had founded its own record label in the United States in partnership with Universal Music and EMI Records. Called Steady Records. On September 15, 2015, the band announced their newest single "Wake Up", released on October 2 of the same year, their second album also called "Wake Up", which was released on November 27, in addition to fanfests Europe and a world tour called "Wake Up World Tour" that started in January 2016. -
The Vamps: Our Story 100% Official e Night & Day
The song "All Night" secured the band's first entry into the Canadian Hot 100, reaching 72nd position. In addition to being the single with the most entries on the band's music charts, it also became the one with the most certifications and reached over 200 million plays on spotify, being also their most performed song to date.
On October 20, The Vamps released their autobiography, entitled The Vamps: Our Story 100% Official, which had been announced months before. -

The vamps just grows, they have toured in several countries, including Brazil.
