Boston Massacre
British soldiers fired, and killed three men instantly. Two other men died later. -
Sugar Act
Taxed sugar and molasses to help pay for the French and Indian War. -
Tea Act
Allowed the British East India Company to sell tea directly to the colonists. -
Intolerable Act
The Boston Harbor closed. The MAssacusetts charter was cancelled. Royal officials that were accused of crime were sent to Britian. A large amount of land was given to Quebec. -
Battle at Bunker Hill
The Patriots lost, but proved they could take on the British. This battle was actually at Breed's Hill. -
Dorchester Heights
The Patriots stationed at Nook's Hill. When the British saw the army, they knew they had to retreat. -
Battle at Long Island
The British crushed America. -
Battle of Trenton
The Patriots snuck up and attacked the Hessians by surprise, and it was the patriot's first win. -
Battle of Saratoga
The Patriots surrounded the British. The British army was forced to surrender. -
Battle of Yorktown
The British were surrounded and finally surrendered to the Americas. The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the Revolutionary War.
