In this section, it talks about what the prisoners do at the camp. They play games and read. Every time someone has a book, everyone wants to read it. the prisoners are taken to another place and it describes their walk there. -

in this section, Felice is going around asking who would want to climb the mountain with him. He has to find the right person who has enough experience and who can have enough endurance to succeed. He begins stalking up on supplies from the camp store and garbage he can find. Pages 57-92 -
Pages 93-150
in this section, they get through the night of cold weather. They begin walking through the forest on their way to Mount Kenya. they begin to climb and Felice describes how cold and hard it was for him to go through. his partners were the right ones to choose though and hes glad he brought them along. Pages 151-239
The team is climbing the m0ountain and they run into problems. there was no way to climb one spot. Giuan found a way for them to climb up and they reached the top. As they are coming back, they must cross a river. It is a fast flowing river and it takes them a little while to cross. They return back to camp. Pages 151-232 end
