Start of Byzantine empire
The Byzantine Empire rises from the ashe's of the Roman empire. Their National language was Latin and religion was Christianity. The empire spread across South Eastern europe, and into parts of Middle east. This angered many islams and they attacked causing a weakening in the empire. The crusaders then sweeped in and raided towns and cities quickly as the empire began to crumble and finally the Ottoman Empire came in and started taking over land of the Byzantine empire causing it to fall in 1453 -

Rise of the crusades
The point of the crusades was to spread the religion of Christianity across the world, and without no one to stop them. Eventually the power of religion grew so powerful that the Pope soon became in control of EVERYTHING. He controled the education, taxes, people, etc. They then enforced laws such as priests could not get married and the laws of Simony. They then invaded the Holy Land on their 1st crusade and held it with only half remaining. On the 2nd they lost everything and came home empty. -

Mongol empire begins
Genghis Khan is made leader and king of the Monol Empire. His ruthless and powerful mind helped them control most of Asia. These people were nomadic and sent fear into their enemy's for everyone knew their name. They were pretty much, 'If you don't want to end up like the town over there do as we say.' And many people did. The Mongols used pathological warfare causing many people to run and hide from them and making them powerful. They tried conquering Japan twice and failed both times. -

French childrens crusades
Childrens crusade is sent out to recover the holy land. The 1st Childrens crusade was led by a 12 year old French peasant named Stephen of Cloyes. He led 30,000 children off to the Holy land, Jerusalem. But on the journey, many grew impatient, tired, and to immature so they headed home cause they were hungry. -

German childrens crusade
The German Cchildrens crusade took place on the same year as the French crusade. But they had more success for it was a totalof 50,000 which included men, women, boys, and girls. They were led by a boy about the same age as Stephen named Nicholas. They crossed through many parts of Europe and the Alpes. But throughout the journey they lost about 2,500 people who were never found. The pope, Innocent III said 'These children put us to shame, while we sleep they rush to recover the holy land.' -

Black Death Strikes Europe
The Bubonic plague strikes europe around 1300 starting in Sicily, Italy. It worked it's way up North, then west, and finishing in the east. The plague caused a total devistation killing 1/3 of Europe, around 20 million. The plague caused Lords and Kings to run away or hide, leaving the peasants vulnerable. Riots began to happen and the economy fell along with the political government. -

100 year war starts
100 year war begins. The war is a bloody one and waged between the rulers of the English and the people of France. ALL of the battles that was fought through out the war was in France. The war began in 1337 in the battle of Cadsand with an english victory. -

100 year war ends
100 year war ends after the battle of Castillon. The French won the war suprisingly. There were a total of 30 significant battles throughout the war and France only winning 11 of them. But the prophacy pf Joan Arc was sent by the lord to help them win the war. She was the 1st step for women to start stepping up. She got permission from the french king to give her an army. As soon as she stepped in she began winning battle after battle. With that they won the war. -
Begining of Tang dynasty
The tang Dynasty begins. This dynasty is known for many things. Such as their army was so powerful they conquered lands from North to west making them stronger. The expanded roads and canals to help keep the empire together and connected. They reopened the silk roads to help out with trading. And lowered their taxes and took land from the wealthy and gave it to the peasants so they wouldn't revolt. But only the wealthy could be civil servants because of the cost for education. -
Fall of tang dynasty, Rise of Song dynasty
The fall of the Tang dynasty began the start of the Song dynasty, which was started from the ruins of the Tang's. This empire grew strong and powerful with tons of new inventions flowing in. Such as Gunpowder (No guns at this time yet), magnetic compass, paper money (And paper), and even the mechanical clock. The empire also started a way to work up the social ladder and get wealthy. Women broke their feet and young ages and binded their feet because men found it attractive....Sadly....
