The Open Door Policy is the principle that all countries could have equal access to any of the ports that are open to trade in China. This policy was issued by Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Russia and Japan. -
Boer War
The Boers, descendants of the original Dutch settlers in Africa, despised the idea of Anglicization of Africa as well as British slave policies. The war ended in 1902 with the British crushing the armies of the Boer's and recapturing their land. -
Revolution of 1911
A group of revolutionaries in southern China led a successful revolt against the Qing Dynasty in order to attempt to end the Imperialism Era.
