Edison saw this as an opportunity to make money so he would make tons. He rented the equipment to industries and owned actors. This did not give others to film separately if they did them they'd be in danger. -
Cinematography
The lumiere brothers had invented a film projector called cinematography. They could show a whole audience at the same time. They came our with 30- 60 second films. -
Nickelodeans
These theaters showed films and filled the times in between with little skits and plays to be even better than before. -
The Great Train Robbery
This film is the turning point and set a whole new standard to the film industry. They had a variety of postions and sequences. -
Thomas Jerk
Created a monopoly of the business while it exploded. He own everything, actors, cameras, and ect. This was a jerk move in my opinion. -
Danger Of Filming
There was a time where filming was banned. Edison had a company that would destroy equipment. It was much harder so they moved the stuff to film in California near the borer to save their stuff. -
Horsing Around Lead To A Real Discovery
People were betting whether horses run with all their feet off the ground all at the same time in a single moment. Others say that's ridiculous and not possible. It lead to a 25,000 dollar bet. Pictures were taken and the bet was won that their foot do not touch the ground for a period of time. -
Modern Days
Now everyone can film whatever they want. It's very freelance and its not a monopoly anymore.
