    James Russell first invented the CD in the 1960's for storing data. The CD - Re Writable version came out for public use in 1965 by Sony.

  • IBM Microdrive

    IBM introduced the smallest hard drive in the world at the time. It was a one inch hard disk with a storage capacity of 170mb.
