    The Beginning
    In 1878, Edward Muybridge wanted to see if a horse, while running, had all four hooves off the ground. He took 12 images in rapid succession, leading to the illusion of movement. This rewarded him with $25,000.
  • The First Movie

    The First Movie
    Louis Le Prince began making his own movies. With some effort, his first film, a documentary called Roundhay Garden Scene, is created. It later lives to be the oldest surviving film to this day.
