    After years of 30 second shorts, Edison helped produce a 12 minute epic called The Great Train Robbery. It was one step closer to the feature length we see today. It also had a clear narrative, a first in the industry.

    Of course, Edison couldn't just stay in good graces after that fiasco with the projecting. No, instead he tried to Monopolize the movie industry in New York. Him and the MPPC tired to control all film. this lead to a mass exodus.

Since most filmmakers were there, the industry thrived there instead of New York

    After sound, film was bound to evolve yet again, but the next big change came most definitively in 1937 with Wizard of Oz, which pretend to be Sepia, but then hit you with the Techncolor! That's right, the new, big thing was color. ,Everything could be colored, and soon, it would be.

    Evolution was a bit stagnate for film, since CGI was still far off, but in 1975, a little summer movie named Jaws kind of broke everything, but more importantly the bank. Singlehandedly, summer went from just another time for a movie, to the time for Blockbusters. Movies loaded with massive budgets to draw in an even more massive profit came out in the summer, it was almost a required. Thus, blockbusters were born.
