The first cell p[hone was completed on April 3, 1973. It was invinted by Martin Cooper. The phone weighed about 2 and 1/2 pounds. It gave 30 minutes of battery life for 10 hours of charging.

First smart phone
Contrary to popular belife the I-pone was not the first smart phone. The IBM Simon was. Relesed at COMDEX in 1992 the Simon had a touchscreen with basic features such as email, adress book and a keypad.
