Brett discovers a love of writing through short stories, and begins writing a series of crude horror stories. -
Begins writing first novel
Brett begins working on his first novel, an untitled horror story. -
Scraps first novel and starts a new novel
Brett scraps original novel idea and begins writing spy fiction novel after discovering the works of Daniel Silva. -
First novel completed
Brett completes his first novel, Killer Instinct. Several months later, he begins working on the sequel. -
Two new novels and graduation
A sequel, The Reckoning, and a prequel, The Wolf, are finished. Brett Graduates high school -
Writes 4th novel and starts college
A second sequel, Through the Ashes, is completed. Brett starts culinary school. -
5th novel completed in the series
A second prequel, The Hammer Falls is completed. The series of books are now collectively titled, At All Costs. -
New novel series and begins writing Smash! cartoon
Brett returns to his short story roots and begins writing a series of comics titled, Smash!. Brett begins and finishes a pair of crime novels, Bloody Jonny and Bloody Vengeance. -
Graduated Culinary School
Brett completes culinary school but continues to study at MATC Milwaukee, studying creative writing and history. He adapts his novels, The Wolf and Killer Instinct to screenplays. -
Starts at UWM and the Dean's List
Brett enrolls at UW-Milwaukee in the spring semester to study history and journalism, and achieves a 4.0 in the fall semester, making the Dean’s List. -
Writes seventh novel, Imperium, and other major projects
Brett writes a new At All Costs prequel, Imperium. Begins writing a feature length screenplay for Smash! Entitled, Monkey Schemes. Begins adapting Smash! Short stories into teleplays with ambitions to produce an online cartoon series. -
Secures internships
Brett secures his first internship with HelpGlobal.org, becomes a Staff Writer with the UWM Post, and realizes a future in journalism. -
Graduation
Brett will graduate with a BA in Journalism and History from UW-Milwaukee
