Lucy finds borders
Lucy is walking to town and sees a really pretty car driving down the road, but it is broke down. When she gets to town she sees a really pretty lady. The ladys name is Veronica, and she is getting a ride with a man named George. -
Chicken ligth invention
Lucy is doing the chickens and she notices there are no eggs. George shows up and tells her about the chicken light. -
Aren't Married?
Lucy thinks George and Veronica are married. She soons find out she is wrong. -
fixing cars
George notices an old car behind Lucies barn. He asks what the car is doing there, and Lucy siad it was her dads but mama never sold it. He ends up starting it, but it takes a few days. -
Come and See Smoky
George asks if any one would like too go for a ride in his car, and Lucy wants to go. When they drive by Smoky Lucy wants to see him, so she and george give him carrots. -

after Lucy thinks George likes Veronica she figures he dosen't. After she sees him talking to Mama ad then she assumes he likes Mama. -
Where are you?
George and Veronica dissapeard on december 19th after Lucys bedtime. When she wakes up she knows something isn't right, and sure enough they're gone. She can't possibly bear this thought because George was so niice. -
Found
Its midnight on the 22nd and suddenly Lucy hears the front door open. She walks into the hall and sees Mama in the kitchen, then Mama says "George!" Lucy runs out and meets him then he tells the story of taking Veronica to the train station. -
Christmas
Its Christmas and there is snow on the ground at lucys house, which is a first. Lucy made a bunch of presents for George, adn Mama, and Grandma. You need to read the book to find out if Lucy gets Smoky does anyone get married. Read to find out.
