First car
The first automobile was created in 1769 by a french man Nicholas Joseph Cugnot that was steam powered. Today car's are everywhere and they are gasoline powered. -

Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone was very low tech compared to today's gadgets. the phone has come a long way to todays smart phones with touch screens. -

The first radio was built and presented by Alexander Stepanovich Popov. Since then the radio has progressed in to HD radio and satellite radio where many listen to music. -

this allowed everyone to vote including women. -
Emergency Quota Act
The Emergency Quota Act was supposed to be temporary law which limited the percent of immigrants from each country to enter the U.S. The percent was 3% of each race that was already present in the U.S. and it was the first law that limited immigration. -
Immigration Act of 1924
This was created 3 years after the Emergency Quota Act to bring the percent down to 2% from each country. This was even stricter than the first. -
First television
Television was a rare thing in households when it came out. Now everyone has one and they are even HD big screens with millions of things to watch. -

This cancelled the 18th amendment which prohibited alcohol. -

The first programmable computer was invented in 1936 by Konrad Zuse in his parents living room. Computers are used for everything even school. -
GI Bill passed
FDR signed the GI Bill which helps vetrans with living costs. -
Frisbee produced
There is controversy over when and who invented the Frisbee but Wham-o toy company began producing it in 1957. -
