Election of 1800
The Election of 1800 was a lot like the 1796 election. It was between the Jeffersionians and the Federalist. The parties would communicate something about the other canidate that was falsely leading. Most of the time it was a rude comment, to make the other look bad. Adams was not going to win, so he decided that he would hve his supporters help with a decision. The Federalist agreed to support Burr, beacause he was " Better of the 2 evils". Though it was close Jeffersion came out on top. -
Marbury v. Madison Supreme Court Decision
This was a law case between Marbury and Madison. In this court session, this was the first time a law was pronounced unconstitutional. -
Louisiana Purchase
The Louisiana Purchase is when American purchased Louisiana from France. The perchased over 2 million square acres. -
Lewis & Clark reach the Pacific Ocean
Lewis and Clark were sent out on a mission, to find the "Northwest Passage.'' The spent many months traveling, meeting a lot of different Indian tribes along the way. The Indians helped Lewis and Clark eventually reach the Pacific Ocean. -
Treaty of Ghent
The Treaty of Ghent ended the war of 1812. It ended it between the King and the United States. The fighting war on the fields did not stop until mid Febuary. -
Andrew Jackson Elected For President (1st term)
Preseidency was something different to Andrew Jackson than to other presidents. He did not agree that a president had to have an education to make good changes to the nation. He proved himself right. Though he had the nickname King of the Mob, he made great changes to the United States.
