    5 Seconds of Summer began on December 3, 2011 when Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood, who were studying at Norwest Christian College, began posting videos of themselves making covers of popular songs on the Hemmings YouTube channel

    On February 14, 2013, it was announced that the band would host One Direction on their world tour, Take Me Home. The tour began at the O2 Arena in London on February 23, 2013, and 5 Seconds of Summer joined One Direction to go to the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, including 7 shows at the Allphones Arena in the city native of the band, in Sydney.
