First electrical telograph was invinted. On 24 October 1861, the first transcontinental telegraph system was established.

First Telophone

In the 1870s, two inventors Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell both independently designed devices that could transmit speech electrically (the telephone). Both men rushed their respective designs to the patent office within hours of each other, Alexander Graham Bell patented his telephone first.

First outlet

The original two pin electrical plug and socket were invented by Harvey Hubbell.IT was then patented in 1904.

Internet becomes popular and email starts

Following commercialization and introduction of privately run Internet service providers in the 1980s, and the Internet's expansion for popular use in the 1990s, the Internet has had a drastic impact on culture and commerce. This includes the rise of near instant communication by electronic mail (e-mail), text based discussion forums, and the World Wide Web.
