Reservatons are created for the natives, but some natives refuse to live on the reservations. The settlers get very upset and destroy the buffalo population. -

Houston is elected governor of Texas. Although he helps Texas with many problems, many people still dislike him. -

Texas seceded from the Federal Union. Governor Sam Houston was one of a small minority opposed to the secession. -

Reconstruction after civil war ended. People rebuild everything that was destroyed during the Civil War although many lives were affected. -
