God continues to advance his mission in this story by showing Abraham His glory. God had blessed Abraham with Isaac, and although it was only a test, God had the power to take Isaac away. Yet, in all his glory, he decided to spare Isaac and instead provided a substitute, his son, which is represented by the ram caught in the bushes.

Jacob Typology Part 1
identify OT passage in Jacob's life and how it connects to the NT
jacob's blessing from isaac which was later fulfilled through Jesus. OT verse: Genesis 27:27-29. Jacob deceitfully stole Esau's birthright, but he did end up serving Laban for about 20 years. This slightly foreshadows Jesus, which I'll elaborate on in the next section.

HK - Personal Reflection - A moment in my life where Genesis 25-50 was reflect in me
Genesis 39:20-23 shows how the Lord was still with Joseph, even when he was in prison. This impacts me because I can identify that even in the low points of my life, God is still there with me. For Joseph, his low points were his time in prison and bondage. Though mine aren't nearly as harsh in comparison, my personal low point was the fear of seeing my mom undergo two major surgeries. Looking back, God kept my family safe in his hands, just as he did with Joseph, his brothers, and Jacob. -
Gaza Border - How can we see God's covenant with Abraham being fulfilled today?
God has made Israel into a great, growing nation with increasing numbers as he promised Abraham in Genesis 17:2 and Genesis 17:20. He also promised to make his descendants into a great nation, which is true as Isaac and Ishmael were the roots of two large groups: the Christians and the Muslims. In the covenant to Ishmael, God said that he would live in hostility to his brothers, which is still true today as we see recently in the March for Return over the Israeli of Palestinian ownership of land
