Pizza College
At 16 years old, George Marrone, Sr., began working under his mentor Bruno Calandria, in a pizzaria named "Pizza Town USA" on Route 17 in Paramus, New Jersey. -
"Pasquales" is born.
George and his wife May move down the shore to Tom's River, New Jersey and on March 23rd, with $400 in his pocket and a lot of IOUs, George opened the original "Pasquales," a 1,600 square foot restaurant seating 40, named after his father, Pasquale Marrone. -
Second Pasquales Opens
On October 13th, George expands the family business and opens his second store, in Bricktown, New Jersey, a 1,700 square foot restaurant seating 60. -
Southbound
On August 15th, the Marrone family moves to South Florida, continuing their business in New Jersey. -
Pasquale's Pizza & Subs opens in Coral Springs. Our first Florida Restaurant.
On September 21st, the Marrone family opens their first Florida location at 10337 Royal Palm Boulevard, in Coral Springs, a 2,030 square foot restaurant seating 75. 17 year old George Jr., 15 year old Mike, and 13 year old Nick, join Dad and begin working in the restaurant. -
George Jr. Takes the Reigns
George Jr. takes over the daily opeartion of the original Coral Springs restaurant. A complete remodeling of the restaurant was to follow, expanding to 3,770 sq. ft. with 115 seats, which today is still operated by George Jr. -
George Marrone, Sr. Retires After 33 Years
George Marrone Sr. retires, and leaves the restaurant business to his three sons, George Jr., Michael, and Nick. -
Pasquale & Sons' Pizza Company Opens
On August 22nd, the Marrone family opens their second Coral Springs location, at 5609 Coral Ridge Drive, a 5,644 sq. ft. state of the art eatery with 165 seats, operated by son Michael Marrone. -
Pasquales Comes to Coconut Creek
Our third local store is a brand new from the ground up, immaculate eatery, located at State Road 7 and Copans Road.
