Carl Vinson was ekected into Congress on Nov. 3, 1914, where he became the youngest member. He went straight to the Naval Affairs Commmittee. He is said to have increased the size of the Navy by 70%. He was also known as the Father of the Two Ocean Navy. -

Richard Russell Jr. was the youngest governor in GA history, beating Eugene Talmadge to get the job. After the death of the U.S. senator William Harris, hei ran for the senate. When he got elected in, he was the youngest senator. He was called one of the most influential men in Washington. -

They freed many prisoners, but still others were forced to march to other concentration camps before the Soviets arrived.
