I think that this is an exteremly important event because it made the initial boarders for the Arab World and the Middle East. SO our modern- day GeoPolitics mostly is due to this agreement.

David Ben-Gurion, the Executive Head of the World Zionist Organization and the chairman of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, declared the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz-Israel, to be known as the State of Israel. This is significant because it represents the begninning of the long and bitter Arab- Israeli Conflict.

It also made Gamal Abdel Nasser a national hero.

This revolution is significant because it represent a form of Pan- Islamism. Also, it shaped modern day Iranian relations with the west. Regardless of the outcome, the fate of Iran will be to the global system – for better or for better or for worse.

    This is important because it was the first time in which one Arab country attacked another, and it also signaled the beginning of the western intervention in the middle east and the American occupation of Iraq.
