Society promoted education for everyone. Literacy, or the ability to read, had the quickest results from public education. people then could read newspapers and magazines that held current events. -
Leisure
Leisure bacme more accessible and popular from the spread of industialization, rights, education, and new family roles. -
The Middle Class
The middle classes were made up of educated lawyers, doctors, scientist, and business men. The lower middle class were made up of small shopkeepers, traders, peasants, and prosperous farmers. -
Class System Percentage
During the new industrial world the working class and the poor made up 80% pf the population, the middle classe made up 15%, while the wealthy elites made up 5%. -
The Working Class
Making up 80% of Europes population, the working class were made up of landholding peasants, farm laborers, sharecroppers, skilled and unskilled laborers, and some artisans -
Women Workers
Women began to fill more jobs. Employers couldnt find enough men to fill the low paying jobs. -

People moved from the countryside to urban cities to find jobs. This created a population incline from migration. -
Sanitation
Population inclined from having cleaner environments. Society wanted to improve public health an sanitation, thus people died less and could live closer together. -
Women's Rights
The movement of womens rights spread in the 19th century. Women demanded the right to own property, go to college, and vote. After World War one the American Government gave women the right to vote. -
The Wealthy Elite
The wealthy elites controlled up to 40% of the wealth during the second industrial revolution. The wealthy elites were made up of landed aristocrates, banker industrialists, and merchants. -
