Some say the men landed on a large pile of manure in a old moat and survived the fall. Although the Defenstraiton of Prague was unsuccessful in its motives at that time, it still played a roll in the Thirty Year War. -
Defenstrations of Pargue
This was actually 2 incidents, the first happened in 1419 and the second in 1618 during the 30 years war. Defenestration means to throw someone or something out of a window. On this day 4 Catholic Lord Regents met at the Bohemian Chancellory early that morning. The reason they all came together was to determin whether or not the 4 were responbile for rrersuading King Matthias to write a letter which ultimately removed the relgious freedoms that had been granted earlier. -

The city of Pilsen was successfully besieged and assaulted by a Bohemian Protestant army. This attack was led by General von Mansfeld. -
