Roanoke is the first British Colony in America
Roanoke island becomes the first British settlement in North America. -
Roanoke settlers vanish,but the word "Croatoan" was carved into a tree
People still do not know what happened to the people at Roanoke,but we do know it had something to do with the Croatoan native americans. -
Virginia is established as the first of the 13 colonies
The first settlement was called "Jamestown". Virginia is located in the Southern Colonies. -
The first african slaves in the colonies
