U.S. invasion- First change of Language
With the U. S invasion of P.R. ocurred the first change in the Puerto Rican languages, the introduction of teaching all subjects in English. -

Luis Fortuño- Bilingual Generation Program
The initiative of Governor Luis Fortuño "Bilingual Generation Program" was created for students from kindergarten through second grade in most public schools of Puerto Rico. His programs aims to graduate a 100 percent English- Spanish bilingual class from secondary school by 2022.
