The matriarch of the family was born
Mom's Facebook My mom, Betty, has four sisters and is from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She has had many jobs over the years, from apartment manager to cook. These days she cleans houses and raises my nephew, Deion. -

My dad, Kyle, was born and raised in Mobile. He had three brothers and four sisters and he was the youngest boy. I really admire and respect my dad. He is a good Christian man with a great heart, always willing to help others. He has been a crane operator for over 15 years now. He is very proud of me for going back to school and encourages me. Yes, I'm a daddy's girl! -
Mom and Dad became one
Mom and Dad had been in love for about a year at this point. As you are about to see, I was well on my way into this world. Their 31st anniversary was this year! -

My sister had her first child, my Deion <3
Deion's Facebook Janice was almost 15 when Deion was born, so he was raised by her, myself and my mother and father. He has a lot of parents! He turned 14 this year and is taller and heavier than me. Here he is showing off his cast (and my dad's Harley). -
I got married! .... only mistake i've ever made! just kidding...
I married Matthew only a few days after 9/11. We actually got our marriage license on 9/11. We will definitely never forget! I am no longer married, but Matt and I are still friends. -

Janice got married ~ copycat!
Janice married a great guy named Aaron. Only a couple of weeks ago they moved to Seattle to be near his family. -
My precious baby girl graced the world with her presence
I was told I could not have children, so she is indeed my miracle baby! I love spending time with her and teaching her. She is so smart, kind and generous. -

I became a student again
Bishop State Community College And it was as if I had another child with all the time, attention and expenses I have to pay. But, as with a child, my time and attention is being well spent. -

I became a student at SOUTH
South's website I LOVE attending South. I have made so many friends here and have learned so much. I am proud to be part of the South family! -
Sometimes families change
On this day, my divorce was finalized. We had lived apart since January 2010. It was the best decision we could make for all involved. -
Janice and her family move to Seattle
They are still a part of this family and always will be, but it is extremely difficult for us all not to have them here with us in Mobile! -
Just us
Most days it's just Dree and me. We are happy with our little family. But we have plenty of people outside our home who love us and help us. We are truly blessed!
