San Francisco Trip August 1984
Wanna know the amazing facts? Click here! My dad and I travel to Miami, Rhode Island and then San Fransisco to visit relatives the summer after my mom died. It was great to see the various parts of our great nation. I learned a lot about the Golden Gate Bridge behind me. It is amazing what went into its construction! We had a really fun time! -
Spring Break-Senior Year
My friends and I went to the beach, enjoyed our sun time. Big Bird called and asked for his costume back! How about that perm job? Awful!! -
At Girl Scout Camp
I spent many summers at GS camp in Florida, and this was one. It is our unit, Shady Pines, and all of its staff. We had nicknames, and mine was "Travis" (after a guy I liked). -
Incredible Hulk
See Lou Ferrigno as The Incredible Hulk here I went to the Mr. Olympia contest in Atlanta, GA, and I saw Lou Ferrigno, the actor who played the Incredible Hulk on the television series in the late 70s and early 80s. I wound up going three years in a row, two in Atlanta and one in Chicago. I had lots of fun! -
Mr. Olympia's 30th celebration
This Mr. Olympia was special, it was the 30 year celebration of the contest. The first Mr. Olympia, Larry Scott, is on the far left end. Joe Weider is interviewing the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger in this picture; he won several times in the late 70s and early 80s. Notice he stands very tall. He came in through the back for only a few minutes for the lineup, and quickly exited through the back to another movie shoot! -

I was working for Regions Bank in Montgomery, and participated in the Realy For Life Race to fight cancer. It was a great cause and I raised $239. We had a good time fighting for those we loved and have lost. -
Best Branch Pumpkin
More ideas for pumpkin carving I was working at Regions Bank in Montgomery, and we had a pumpkin carving contest (at my suggestion) where every branch submitted a pumpkin. We were getting new computers, so I chose that as our theme. The 'keyboard', 'mouse' and 'computer' are pumpkin parts and the pumpkin, respectively. When a candle was burning inside the pumpkin, it looked like it glowed because I carved the 'screen' in a relief style, meaning not all the way through. It won best overall, and best branch. I enjoyed it so!! -
Trafalgar Square in London
See Trafalgar Square hereWe went to Trafalgar Square in London, where you could pay a little money and get a cup full of birdseed to feed the many pigeons there! It is no longer offered, sadly, but I enjoyed the experience. It can be intimidating at first, but you get used to it. We had a fun time feeding the birds! -
Trip to Edinburgh,Scotland
See Edinburgh Castle here My dad and I traveled to several countries this trip, and Scotland was one. It had JUST started to snow again right before this picture was snapped. This is in the middle of a busy shopping area near Edinburgh Castle. Above my head, two animated figures would come out, sing, and bells would play every hour on the hour, but it was too cold to wait for the next performance! -

It was breathtaking-the land was flat for MILES, and the mountain like this would get bigger and bigger until it was HUGE the closer you got! -

Uncle Bart's 80th birthday
We had a small familt reunion for my dad's younger brother, Bart, in Beatrice, AL. There was a bagpipe player there, plentu of delicious food, and family we had not seen in many years. It was a joyful occasion! This picture is of me, my brothers and my dad. -

My frinds and I gathered to hear a friend and his band play music. I LOVE music, and enjoy any chance to hear a live music venue. How about a goofy hat? -
My first musical
Our local theater group, GECA, put on "My Fair Lady" as the summer musical, and I had a blast! I painted the huge backdrop you see behind me in the picture-it was of a foggy London, circa 1912. That's me in my cockney streetwear, singing "Get Me To The Church On TIme". (The wine bottle is empty!)
