In 1917 The Smith Hughes act was made. It was an act to promote vocational agriculture to train people who want to work on a farm and made funds for this program. -
1925
The Future Famers of Virginia was started by Virginia Tech agricultural education teachers, Henry Groseclose, Harry Sanders, Walter Newman, and Edmund Magill, for boys in agriculture classes. -
1926
The first convention was held for Vocational Agriculture students. -Not FFA yet- -
1927
H.O. Sargebt abd G.W. Owens wrote the first constitution and bylaws for the New Farmers of Virgina. -
1928
The First F.F.A convention was held. 33 members from 18 states attended. -

in 1928 the Future Future Farmers of America(F.F.A) was formed. -

Official F.F.A creed by E.Tiffinay adopted. -

First National FFA Public Speaking Contest won by Edward Drace. -

Delegates restricted membership to only boys. -
