Avivius Avidius Cassius was high roman general who successfully supported his emperor Marcus Aurelius. When Aurelius got sick, his wife offered her hand in marriage to Avidius because she wanted to keep her power on the throne. Cassius claimed the throne and branded a traitor, but his own man killed him before, Marcus forgave him. -

Romulus Augustus’ Romulus Augustus' father thought the people would accept someone with more roman blood, so he made his young son take the throne. The eastern empire refuses to respect him, and still support Julius Nepos. Romulus Augustus received much mockery, and at one point Romulus' was changed to Momyllus, which means 'little disgrace'. After only ten months on the throne, a serious mutiny of the troops arose. -

Revolts Commodus was the son of Marcus Aurelius and was the end of the rule of their family. Once he lost power then, Pertinax gained power and the people became unhappy with him. Soon they auctioned off the palace to the highest bidder, sending them to civil wars. Severus in the end became the emperor. -

Reign Theodosius was crowned emperor of the east in 379 after this he continued to fight German tribes until working out an arrangement with them to fight under the Roman banner when needed. Death of Theodosius
Death Theodosius died after suffering with a disease called edema. A disease that causes abnormal fluids in the circulatory system or in tissues between the bodies cells. After Theodosius' death he was buried in Constantinople on November 8th 395. -
Battle of Adrianople
Adrianople The Goths approached Rome after being relocated by the Huns. Emperor Valens agreed thinking the Goths would be allies to the empire but problems with Roman commanders ensued. Eventually the problems exploded and a war began between the Goths and Romans. The romans were defeated by the Goths but the battle lead to a change in Roman military thinking (This).
