King George III prevented the colonist from going west of the Appalachian Mountains because it was costing him too much money to protect the colonist. The King already owed a big debt! -
Quartering Act
King George III made the Red Coats come live in the colonist’s homes and made them pay for all their housing items. -
Stamp Act
The British made the colonist pay their first tax on paper. The colonist thought they had no right to pay taxes. -
Boston Massacure
At night people threw snowballs and stones at the soldiers. The Captain told the British not to fire. The colonist did fire and that’s the how the Boston massacre began. -
Boston Tea Party
The colonist loved tea! The king started taxing the colonist for their tea and the colonist got mad! This is how the Boston Tea Party began. -
