Christopher Columbus sailed West in attempt to find a sea route to Asia. Altough he fails, he finds the continent of North America, known as the New World at the time. -

First enslaved Africans arrive in North America
Originally used for slaves were the native Americans in Norht America, but later began using Africans because of their ability to farm, immunity to European dieases, and becuase their skin color were easily identifiable if a slave excaped. -

Cortes conqueres Aztec Empire
Cortes finds the Aztec Empire and is welcomed by the ruler becuase they believeed that Cortes was a God. Altough Cortes's men were small in number, they were able to conquer the Aztec Empire with help from the wife of the emporer of the Aztec Empire. -

Pizarro conquers Incan Empire
Pizarro conquers the Incan Empire by taking their Emporer hostage. The Emporer agreed to give Pizarro a roomful of gold, and 2 roomfuls of silver in exchange for letting him go. However, they killed him anyways. -
English found Jamestown
Jamestown was made by a joint stock company. Altough the colony faced several problems in the beginning, such as starvation and attacks from the Natives, they managed to survive, making Jamestown the first successful European Colony. -
English found Plymouth
Plymouth was created by pilgrims who wanted to practice religion freely instead of the Angilican Church in Europe. They set about on the Mayflower, and made a colony little bit below Jamestown. -
French and Indian War ends
The French and Indian War was part of a bigger battle called the seven years war, which was against French and Britan. The French eventually lost, losing all land they had in the New World.
