A response to the Tea Act. Sons of Liberty dressed up as Native Americans and threw the British East India Tea Company tea into the Boston Harbor. -

Colonies lost but battle gave the colonists hope because 800 British soldiers were wounded. -

Battle of Saratoga
Turning point in American Revolution; First time the colonists defeated the British in a major battle; caused France and Spain to support the colonies. Hero of the battle was Benedict Arnold. -
Battle of Yorktown
Final major battle of the American Revolution, Lord Cornwalis surrendered. -
Treaty of Paris (American Revolution)
Officially ended American Revolution with its signing. Gave colonists an alliance with France.
