The NNL plays its least season as it begins to break down financially. It leaves the Negro Southern League as the only all African-American baseball league left in America. -

The Negro American League is formed and allows more Negros to play baseball.
The NAL brings together all the smaller leagues.

Jackie Robinson becomes the first African American to play in an organzied white baseball league. Jackie Robinson was the first man to break the color barrier in America. He signed with the Montreal Royals. -
