He was born on Ferrol, Galicia. was a Spanish military dictator, promoter, along with other senior members of the military leadership, the coup 1936 against the government democratic of the Second Republic , whose failure led to the Spanish civil war . In 1926, he was the younger general of Europe. He valued above all order and authority. He distrusted the parliamentary regime, liberalism and democracy, which he believed caused the "decadence" of Spain in the twentieth century. He died on 1975. -
